Kara Riso Anderson is a third-generation REALTOR® with more than two decades of experience and the owner and team leader of Team RISOld at NP Dodge. Based in Council Bluffs, Iowa, she helps buyers and sellers throughout southwest Iowa and the Omaha metro navigate real estate with clear advice, thoughtful strategy, and close attention to detail.

Kara learned the business from her dad, Stephen Riso, a REALTOR® with 45 years of experience and, in her eyes, the best in the business. Working alongside him for 20 years taught her to ask questions, dig into the details, and follow through for clients without pressure sales. She carries those lessons into her leadership of Team RISOld, building on the foundation he established while adding her own approach to marketing and client service. Whether she’s preparing a home for market, evaluating an offer, or working through an inspection concern, Kara helps clients understand their options and make informed decisions.

Her experience includes residential homes, acreages, new construction, investment properties, and commercial transactions. Kara has earned the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation, which requires both advanced education and a demonstrated record of residential sales. It reflects substantial transaction experience and specialized training beyond basic real estate licensing. She holds a bachelor’s degree in merchandising with a marketing minor from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, bringing a practical understanding of presentation, positioning, and marketing to her listings. Team RISOld earned recognition from NP Dodge every year from 2019 through the most recent 2025 Closed Volume Power Team award.

Kara’s connection to the community extends beyond real estate. She serves on the Lewis Central Education Foundation board and volunteers her time supporting the district by facilitating classroom grants and college scholarships through fundraising efforts. She and her husband, Dustin, are high school sweethearts from 1997 and have four children.
